Final Studio Assignment Portrait Shoot

My portrait shot was to advertise Pantene Pro-v, so my images have to be of a woman with shiny healthy hair. These are the final shots I chose from, I will explain why I chose my final image.

I like this image as it shows shine in my model's hair, but as it is a portrait shot I need I did not choose this image.

I believe that this image does not show enough hair for an advertisement about hair.

I chose not to use this image as the bottom of the hair is not light enough, making the shine of the hair look uneven.

My Final image

I like all my images and tried very hard to find reasons not to use them. I finally chose the one which I think would advertises Panten Pro-v best.

I chose this image as it shows an all over shine on the hair due to moving my lights so they shine on all the hair. I also chose this image as the skin tones of my model are not under or over exposed and there are no obvious dark distracting shadows within the image.

I chose not to use this image as i think it is very plain and i do not  like the shadow on the bottom.

I also chose not to use this image as the right side has bright light on the top right hand side of the tin.

I moved the back light to the left side of the product so that both sides of the tin would have equal amounts of light on it. I believe this  makes  the product look much better. I chose not to use this image as I did not like the amount of white around the product.

I chose this as my final image as both sides are equally lit. I also liked the way I had positioned the camera to see both the product and the contents of the tin. I also chose this image as I thought it had just the right amount of background surrounding it so if it was to be used for advertisements then there is space for text be added.

I chose not to use this image as my final image as I did not like the blurred shadow under the shampoo bottle as I think they are quite distracting. 

I chose not to use this image despite the fact that I was able to make the reflection on the light table look much better by adding white perspex. I could see the line between the background and the perspex, which again I found was off putting.

I chose not to use the image to the left as i believe the bottles to be blending into the background.

I chose this image as both bottles clearly stand out from the background. By using a reflector to make sure that both bottles have even light on each bottle. I also like the clear reflection underneath the bottles as it is reminiscent of the images that a researched. I believe that this image is successfully in promoting these Pantene pro-v products

Final studio assignment experiment

For my final studio shoot I had to capture images of 2 seperate products. I chose to shoot these products at home before taking them into the studio so I could familiarise myself with the products and what angles I may want to position them in when undertaking my studio shoot.

Assignment 1

this 1st assignment was to expreiment by taking a series of photographs of the same subject with apertures. these imags show the differnce in depth of field that happens are a result of using diffrent apertures.
